Civic Arts Development Corporation (CADC) is a 501c3 community development corporation operating from Near-North St. Louis, Missouri, intentionally creating beneficial change in our region and beyond. The mission of Civic Arts Development Corporation is the integration of human and education re-development through the Arts & Sciences.

March 2023 Announcement

CADC is excited to engage Dail Chambers as our first Artistic Coordinator! We are proud to uplift Ms. Chambers to this position of organizational direction. We choose Coordinator as the title of the role because CADC aims to de-colonize staff positions throughout the organization. Ms. Chambers brings decades of Cultural Arts direction experience to this role and we are enthusiastic about the path ahead.

June 2021 Announcement

CADC has officially been granted 501(c)(3) tax exemption by the IRS as a charitable community development corporation! Hooray! We are grateful for help from Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (https://vlaa.org/) and Jessica Quintero with the team at Husch Blackwell LLP (https://www.huschblackwell.com).

During the Summer Solstice 2021, on 6.20.2021, we joined Hyde Park Atelier of the Arts & Sciences in remembering The North St. Louis Mindfulness Project. Check out the following link to learn more about the project: nstlmp.com.

April 2021 Announcement

Over several Sunday afternoons, volunteers from CADC, Hyde Park Atelier of the Arts & Sciences, and Helian Unitive Investments cleaned up trash from property, streets, and alleyways near The Musaeum Library and Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hyde Park, St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

March 2021 Announcement

CADC is proud to complete the Anti-Racism Training course from Dr. Treasure Shields-Redmond. We plan to uphold Anti-Racism in our programming and develop opportunities for the community to learn more about Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion. Many thanks to Dr. Redmond for this training. December 2020 Announcement

On the Winter Solstice, 12.21.2020, CADC hosted a Community Gathering live on Zoom. The group came together to celebrate the shift of the season and shine light in the darkness of COVID-19, economic injustice, racial divisiveness, and political pollution. As individuals, organizations, and businesses we aligned our lights to kindle our energy and seed our intentions, planning ahead for the Spring and a bright future of collaborative community partnerships.

September 2020 Announcement

CADC has applied for federal tax-exemption and awaits confirmation from the IRS. Our thanks go out to Sue Greenberg and Ken Konchel of Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts for their help in connecting us with legal representation. Special thank-yous go to Jessica Quintero of Husch Blackwell, LLP for her time and effort in collaborating on the Form 1023 submission.
